Manya Mehta

Wellness Education and Creative Lead

Manya is a graduate in Psychology from the State University of New York, University at Buffalo (SUNY-UB) Singapore. She has been involved in children's wellness and education from the age of 6, when her family started a non-profitable school for underprivileged children. Mental health and wellness are her focus areas. Manya’s core expertise areas are visual methods in learning, creative arts therapy and cyberpsychology. She loves working with young minds and uses her creative methodologies to assess and educate.

She works with Safety Troop to create an amazing platform to assist parents and their children to take a step in the right direction towards being safe and happy.
Manya is an ardent animal lover. She loves dogs and actively helps abandoned dogs to get adopted. When she is not working on her training modules, she can be found spending time with her fur babies.

Priyanka Lakhwani

Learning & Development Specialist

Priyanka is an educationist and an academic trainer. She has a double Bachelor’s in Education and Economics and a Masters in Economics from the prestigious University of Pune. She is a Cambridge certified Educator for Global Perspectives and she keeps Design Thinking and Innovation techniques at the core of her facilitation.

She has been associated with the field of education for over 7 years in different capacities. She is a firm believer of Project and Inquiry Based Learning which helps in developing 21st century skills like critical thinking, collaboration, analysis etc.

With the belief that education is a basic right for every child, Priyanka has joined Safety Troop to expedite Learning and Development. She aims to empower and sensitise the educators for the need of child safety. In present times, when information is easily available, it becomes even more vital to be aware of how we use this information constructively. In a nutshell, through appropriate content she aims at empowering the children to be good decision makers and independent thinkers.

Bhavya Gandhi

Counselling Psychologist

Bhavya is a counselling Psychologist with an experience of working with people of various age groups like children, adolescents and young adults . She has completed her Masters in Clinical Psychology from University of Delhi. She has a collaborative and integrated approach towards counselling. She has successfully worked with over 500 clients. She believes that children too have their own way of expressing emotions which can sometimes be overlooked by parents.

She has connected with Safety Troop with an aim to help such children and caregivers to get on the right direction towards interpersonal and individual growth. Her way of working with her clients includes a lot of play way activities which will help her clients gain more insight into the issues and be more aware of their emotions.

Mridhula

Counselling Psychologist

Ms. Mridhula is the director of Aruvadai Psychological Support Service, has been through her academic journey of M.Phil in counseling psychology. Her objective is to make this mental health practice & education accessible to as many people as possible, with her strong team.

She is a Senior Psychologist at Aruvadai, who leads a team of empowered & like-minded people in order to extend and hand over her techniques to the society by providing individual/couple/group counseling for any mental or emotional health issues, conducting workshops on various professional psychological topics, taking up sensible projects which benefits the society and setting up a lot of initiatives from scratch, to improve the sense of well-being of everyone that comes in contact with Aruvadai. Her prime motive is to reach people to create awareness about the holistic nature of mental stability that includes 4 W's and 1H, i.e, "What, Why, When, Who & How" in an authentic manner.

Sankhya Bantalpad

Content Developer

Sankhya is a psychologist and behavioural researcher. She holds a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Manipal University. Her work with children's mental health and wellbeing began at the age of 18, when she volunteered with various NGOs. Her areas of interest include positive psychology, cognitive neuroscience and person centred therapy.

She strongly believes that mental health literacy is every child's right. In today’s unequal world, children remain an extremely vulnerable group. Their well-being is often overlooked and neglected. She advocates that the conversation around child mental health and emotional safety needs to begin today. She works with Safety Troop to develop psychological content that can easily be understood by preteens and adolescents. Her version of Utopia includes creating a safe world for every single child.

Kumari Sneha

Project Manager

Sneha has completed her Bachelor’s in Computer Application, making her a graduate with plenty of knowledge in different concepts. She has been a versatile individual. Along with her interests in programming, she has been a jack of all trades.

She has also been experienced in management and had interned as human resource trainee at Ifortis Corporate. She began her journey at Safety Troop as an Intern and is now working as a Project Manager.

She has volunteered and collaborated with NGOs to promote child literacy and had herself taken the initiative to teach underprivileged children with the help of those NGOs. She is a competent team worker, has good leadership traits, has been acknowledged as a flexible learner and completes all her tasks with utmost zeal.

Deebiga Shanmugam

Illustrator and Graphic Designer

Deebiga has completed her Bachelor's in Computer Science and Engineering. As her passion was always into drawing stuff and crafts, she embraced it dearly. She wanted to implement her creativity in a professional manner, so she pursued a PG Diploma in Animation and was determined to do something she loves, in a more meaningful way. She always wanted her illustrations to hold a story. She did freelancing and created works out of passion.

Deebiga joined Safety Troop as an Illustrator and Graphic Designer, implementing her art for children's wellness and awareness. It was exceedingly satisfying and helped her achieve art in a more impactful way. She adores books. She compares her entangled thoughts with a Japanese Author named “Haruki Murakami '', Says his books are the one and only which directly connects her mind. Being a travel spirit, she loves to explore and get inspired with places and its uniqueness. She aspires to learn a lot on the way. A library is her idea of heaven.

Ms. Ruvneet Bains

Founding Ambassador

Ms. Bains is a pedagogy and assessments expert. She taught at the prestigious Shri Ram Schools, New Delhi. Almost ten years of teaching provided her deep insights into students' intellectual, social and emotional growth and development across the school years.

In a decade-long association with Pearson working on various government projects, she co-wrote the 5 Year Master Plan for the MoE, Royal Kingdom of Bhutan and later headed the national programme for training teachers for Improving School Assessments as Assistant Director at the Centre for Assessment, Evaluation and Research (CAER) – a Pearson research initiative with CBSE. She led the development of Assessment Frameworks for Pearson's Blended Learning products and Online Professional Development Modules for teachers and was responsible for Efficacy & Research activities and thought leadership for India.

Ms. Bains was a founder member of Access-School, India’s first Hybrid Flexible Learning environment for school students; where she led a team of outstanding teachers to design and deliver outcome-focused learning experiences that are accessible, meaningful and fulfilling to diverse learners.

Safety Troop is close to her heart and her commitment to supporting young people to live joyful, independent and fulfilling lives.

Dr. Arpita Kasbekar

Paediatrician

Dr. Arpita Kasbekar is a dedicated pediatrician with 10 plus years of expertise in the field of Pediatrics, child development and wellness. She has been associated with leading hospitals in Mumbai, the most eminent being Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital where she was a clinical assistant for a significant period of time. She is currently practicing as a Consultant Pediatrician and Neonatologist at Quest Clinic in Mumbai.

She has vast experience in treating children right from birth to adolescence. Her qualifications include having completed MBBS and DBS Pediatrics, which paved the way for her to delve into service, heart and soul.

Almost fifteen years into service has enabled Dr. Arpita to pledge to give the best possible pediatric preventative healthcare and encourage sustainable practices for children’s general wellness. She is kind and compassionate, determined to provide outstanding service and care, and empathetic to parent’s concerns. Her demeanor and practices have always ensured to aim for the overall well being of children.

Dr. Harmeen Dhillon

Dr. Harmeen is a doctorate in psychology who wears many hats. From being a mother to a wonderful 9 year old son, a wife, Assistant Professor , a Counselling Psychologist who also believes in spiritual awakening. She is currently taking consultations from all over India.

Her calling in life is to connect to as many people as she can through her work and comfort people who are in their transition. She helps them understand their potential so that they are able to live a complete and fulfilling life.

She strongly believes therapy is a gift that allows one’s inner strength to emerge while our personal journey through life’s experiences makes us who we are.

Adv. Sanchita Ain

Child Rights Advocate

Sanchita Ain an Advocate-on-Record in the Supreme Court of India. With an experience of almost a decade in the field of law, she has handled complex matters before the Supreme Court, High Courts, and other forums in the country. These include landmark constitutional law cases like linking of PAN with Aadhaar, triple talaq, affirmative action, rights of minority institutions, land acquisition cases, 2G spectrum case, and matters relating to civil, corporate, competition, service, and family laws. She has played a key role in some of the custody matters, so much so that the judges appreciate her sensitivity in matters involving children. She has worked in the area of juvenile justice and supports orphans and street children living in children’s homes to claim their legal rights against other family members. Sanchita holds the prestigious LLM degree in International Human Rights Law with distinction from the University of Essex. While at Essex, she worked on a project for the Essex Human Rights Clinic and the Open Society Justice Initiative. She was also an I Can Lead Fellow, India’s first national leadership programme for women with disabilities.

Child Safety Advocate

Advocate Nimmy Karanath is a renowned name in handling POCSO** cases and concerns of children during legal battles. Her regard for children and their well being led her to pursue a Masters in Psychology, Child Mental Health [MACMH] from Kuvempu University after her law degrees.

She has facilitated counselling sessions for children as part of her legal cases and is a strong supporter of the need for child safety education. She completed her LL.M from Govt. Law College, Kozhikode, Calicut University, Kerala and LL.B. from Govt. Law College, Ernakulam, M.G University, Kerala.
